ErasmusPlus offers young people around the world the opportunity to live and study abroad, thereby promoting European cooperation and cultural exchange. One example of this initiative is the ErasmusPlus mobility projects, which help students gain international professional experience and get to know new cultures. One such project took place recently when eight students from a vocational school in Daugavpils, Latvia, travelled to Schwerin to complete a four-week internship.
Sofija, Artjoms, Aleksejs, Vadims, Ksenija, Gabija, Inna and Artūrs took the opportunity to gain practical experience in various renowned companies in Schwerin. These young people gained insights into everyday German working life at companies such as Restaurant Lukas, Locema GmbH, Leukthardt Schaltanlagen and Courtyard by Marriott. During this period, they not only had the opportunity to develop valuable professional skills, but also to improve their language skills and intercultural competences.
Alongside work, these young talents were able to immerse themselves in German society and culture by visiting Schwerin and other cities. These explorations fostered a better understanding of German culture and way of life, which undoubtedly broadened their personal and professional horizons.
ErasmusPlus mobility projects help to provide young people like these students with valuable experiences that promote both their personal growth and professional perspectives. With these newly acquired skills and experiences, they are now well prepared to shape their future with fresh knowledge and international insight.
We wish Sofija, Artjoms, Aleksejs, Vadims, Ksenija, Gabija, Inna and Artūrs all the best for their personal and professional future. May their experiences in Germany accompany and inspire them on their journey.
