About Erasmus+
Erasmus+ is the program of the European Union for education, youth and sport.
Erasmus+ brings together existing EU programs for lifelong-learning, youth and sport, as well as European cooperation programs in higher education.
Erasmus+ has a budget of around 14.8 billion euros.
More than four million people will benefit from EU funds by 2020.

Key Action 1: Learning mobility of individuals
Aims
International work experience is an increasingly part of job requirement profiles.
Staying abroad in vocational education and training is an excellent opportunity to acquire international professional skills.
Participants in the Key Action „Learning Mobility for Individuals“ in Erasmus+ for Vocational Education and Training will have the opportunity to acquire relevant international experience through a mobility project.
target groups
Students
- Persons in non-tertiary, vocational and further education courses, for example:
- Trainees
- Vocational students
- Professional students
- Persons in formally ordered continuing education courses according to state or federal law (for example to master, state-certified technician / state-certified technician)
- Graduates of the named programs up to twelve months after graduation
- People in vocational preparation, if the course of education can count towards subsequent vocational training
Duration of stay: between two weeks and twelve months
Educational staff
People in VET, for example:
- Trainers
- Teachers
- Career counselors
- Heads of training institutions
- Persons responsible for training planning, personnel development and career orientation.
Duration of stay: between two days and two months.
Stays abroad for educational staff are encouraged for the purpose of learning (e.g., internship, internship or job-shadowing, learning new technology) and for the purpose of teaching.
Mobility should be part of the personnel and organizational development of the organization and justified accordingly.
Activities under Key Action 1 in VET
Mobility projects are organized learning stays in other European countries in the form of professional internships, training periods and further training measures.
In the area of vocational training, both learners and educational staff can participate in the projects.
Mobility projects are flexible: they can be designed to meet the learning needs of the target audience.
The projects are organized by institutions of vocational education and training, e.g. Companies, chambers or vocational schools.

Key Action 2: Cooperation to promote innovation and exchange best practices
Aims
Strategic partnerships are transnational projects aimed at the transfer, development and / or implementation of innovation and best practices.
This can be done at local, regional, national, European or organizational levels in VET.
It is possible to project the project sectorally – i. within the sector of vocational education – as well as cross-sectoral – i. two or more sectors (eg vocational training, adult education, higher education, school, youth).

Activities under Key Action 2 in VET
