The ErasmusPlus program has been providing countless opportunities for students all over Europe to gain international experience and develop their skills through various activities such as internships, work placements, and study programs. Among the beneficiaries of this program are Mariss and Markuss, two students from Kandava, Latvia, who recently spent 4 weeks completing their internship in Schwerin, Germany.
Both Mariss and Markuss are studying to become technicians in agricultural machinery and were chosen to participate in the ErasmusPlus program together with four of their colleagues and their supervisor, Maija. The group lived together in a central apartment in Schwerin, making the experience even more enriching as they got to share this journey with each other.
Their internship took place at “Car Service Sorg,” a renowned company in Schwerin that specializes in vehicle services. As soon as they arrived, Mariss and Markuss were warmly welcomed by the team at “Car Service Sorg,” who quickly became their second family during their stay. They were given the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and learn from the best in the industry.
The 4 weeks that Mariss and Markuss spent in Schwerin were nothing short of amazing. They were able to immerse themselves in the German culture and lifestyle, which was a stark contrast to what they were used to back home. They had the opportunity to try traditional German dishes, visit historical sites, and even visit a typical German Christmas-market Through this experience, they not only developed their professional skills but also gained a newfound appreciation for cultural diversity.
Reflecting on their time in Schwerin, Mariss and Markuss shared that they have grown not only as technicians but more importantly as individuals. They have become more confident, independent, and adaptable, which are essential qualities that will greatly benefit them in their future endeavors.
As their internship came to an end, the team at “Car Service Sorg” organized a farewell party to celebrate the growth and achievements of Mariss and Markuss. The students were grateful for the unforgettable experience and the warm hospitality they received from their colleagues and the people of Schwerin. On behalf of the ErasmusPlus program, we congratulate Mariss and Markuss on their successful internship in Schwerin. We have no doubt that this experience has prepared them for a brighter future, and we wish them all the best in their future endeavors. We also extend our gratitude to “Car Service Sorg” for their continuous support and commitment to the ErasmusPlus program.
The ErasmusPlus program continues to create opportunities for students to broaden their horizons and gain valuable experiences that will shape their future. We encourage more students to take part in this program and immerse themselves in new cultures and experiences. Who knows, you might be the next Mariss or Markuss, embarking on an unforgettable journey through ErasmusPlus.
