ErasmusPlus is a European funding program that offers young people the opportunity to gain international experience. Six young people from the vocational school in Cīrava, Latvia, also take part in this program. You have been given the opportunity to complete an internship in Schwerin, Germany.
The young people are accompanied by their teacher Maija, who will support and accompany them during their stay. The internships take place at various Schwerin companies, including “Car Service Sorg”, “Restaurant Lukas” and the “Augustenstift” of “Netzwerk für Mensch”. The young people have the opportunity to gain practical experience in the areas of vehicle mechatronics, cooking and kitchen help.
This is an exciting and big challenge for the young people. You have the chance to gain an insight into working life in Germany and try out your chosen professional field. In addition to the internship, the young people also have the opportunity to explore Schwerin and other cities in northern Germany. This means they not only get to know the region better, but also German culture and society. In addition, they can make new friends and develop intercultural skills.
We wish Andris, Līga, Rūta, Sabīne, Mariss and Markuss a wonderful and educational time in Schwerin. This international internship experience will not only help them improve their professional skills but also promote their personal development. You will gain new impressions and experiences that will shape your future life.
The ErasmusPlus program offers a great opportunity for young people to broaden their horizons and develop intercultural skills. It enables them to assert themselves in an international environment and learn new skills and knowledge. We hope that such exchange programs will continue to encourage young people to discover new countries and cultures and encourage them to become more self-confident, open and tolerant.
We are pleased that Schwerin can welcome these six young people from Latvia as part of the ErasmusPlus program. It is a wonderful opportunity to strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two countries. We are sure that the young people will have an unforgettable time in Schwerin and that this experience will shape them on their way into the future.
